Service area
Custom 3D printing for Louisville, Southern Indiana and Central Kentucky.
Everything is designed, printed and finished in one Louisville shop. If you are in the metro or just across the river, you can collect it in person. If you are further out, the files, quoting and approvals happen remotely and the finished piece is crated or delivered.
Every piece on this page was printed and finished in the Louisville studio.
One shop, not a network
You are dealing with the person who runs the printers
Cru Bear is a single studio in Louisville, Kentucky. There is no sales layer, no ticket queue and no anonymous print farm on another continent. The person who quotes your job is the person who prepares the file, watches the plates run and inspects the parts before they go out.
That matters most when something is not straightforward, which in custom work is most of the time. A file needs repairing, a piece is too big for one build plate, a wall is too thin to survive handling. Those conversations happen directly, usually the same day, and they happen before anything is printed rather than after.
Local means you can come and look at it. Everything else is logistics.
Where we work
Three areas, three ways of getting it to you
Pick the one closest to you for the detail, or just send the project over and we will sort the logistics out in the quote.
Louisville and Jefferson County
Home base. Prototypes, statues, displays, branded magnets and large-format work for Louisville businesses, makers and collectors, with pickup at the studio or local delivery included.
Southern Indiana
Minutes away over the bridge. Jeffersonville, Clarksville, New Albany, Sellersburg and the rest of Clark and Floyd counties, with pickup or a meetup rather than a shipping wait.
Lexington and Central Kentucky
About an hour east. Lexington, Nicholasville, Georgetown, Versailles, Richmond and the surrounding Fayette County area, shipped to you or collected in Louisville if you are coming this way.

Logistics
How distance actually changes the job
Short version: it changes how the finished piece reaches you, and almost nothing else. Quoting, file preparation, proofs and approvals are the same whether you are ten minutes away or three hours out.
| Where you are | How the work reaches you | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Louisville and Jefferson County | Collect at the studio, or we bring it to you | Included |
| Southern Indiana | Collect, or we meet you across the bridge | Included |
| Lexington and Central Kentucky | Shipped to you, or collected in Louisville | Quoted |
| Anywhere else | Crated freight, or delivered in person for large builds | Quoted |
Shipping is quoted per project rather than by a flat rate, because size, weight and how much protection a piece needs vary enormously. A run of magnets goes in a box. A 64-inch sculptural form travels in sections and gets assembled on site, which is usually the most practical option for anything oversized. See how large-format work is engineered to come apart.
What the region asks for
The work that comes through the door
Large-format and oversized
Pieces too big for any single build plate, segmented and keyed so the sections register cleanly. This is the work we are strongest at and the reason shops outside the region still call.
Statues and scale models
Sculpture, figures, maquettes and architectural models, printed one-off or in small batches and finished ready to display.
Prototypes and functional parts
Fit checks, replacement parts and short runs in PLA, PETG, TPU and carbon-fiber composites, dialed in for strength and tolerance rather than looks alone.
Branded logo magnets
Durable branded magnets for local businesses, events and giveaways, in your colors and in short or longer runs.
Trade and contract work
Production behind sign shops, fabricators, exhibit builders and agencies. Pieces arrive unbranded and you keep the client relationship.
Retro and display pieces
Arcade, gaming and nostalgia builds, plus one-off display work for shops, offices and collections around the region.
Before you send it
What makes a project easy to quote
Send this and it is quick
- An STL, STEP or OBJ file if you have one
- A drawing or dimensioned sketch
- The finished size you need, even roughly
- What the piece has to survive: indoors, outdoors, handling
- Your deadline, honestly
- Whether you want it finished or raw
Worth knowing up front
- Builds run in weeks, not days
- Modeling is separate paid work, quoted on its own
- A single photo or a small logo image is not a model
- Layer lines and seams are part of the process
- We are a short-run shop, not mass production
- If we are the wrong shop for it, we will say so
The fastest projects to price are the ones that arrive with a file or a drawing. If a piece has to be designed from scratch, that is real design work and it is quoted separately from the printing. Saying so up front saves everybody two weeks.
