18″ Collaborative Statue Model
This project involved a collaboration with a talented sculptor who needed a high-quality physical representation of a much larger planned installation.
The original concept was designed at approximately one-and-a-half times life size, and our task was to produce a detailed 1/8-scale model measuring approximately 18 inches tall.
Turning a Digital Design Into a Physical Presentation Piece
Due to the size and complexity of the model, the statue was printed in three separate sections and carefully assembled after printing. Breaking the project into multiple pieces allowed us to maximize detail while ensuring a successful print.
Helping Drive Creative Decisions
The finished model was used by the artist during meetings with collaborators and stakeholders. Having a physical version of the sculpture allowed everyone involved to better understand the scale, proportions, and design details than would have been possible from drawings or digital renderings alone.
The artist later told us the model became a valuable tool for discussing revisions and gathering feedback before moving forward with larger-scale production.
